My favorite subject was, and still, is math. I love math. I love math. I love math. I graduated with a BS in engineering and then had a flourishing twenty-six-year career in the automotive industry. I saved the company millions of dollars, until it relocated to Mexico. Instead of transferring, I transitioned my problem-solving skills to the book business to help authors make publishing quick, easy and affordable.
I started in publishing by helping a friend fulfill her dream. Vanessa Miller asked me to collaborate with her on the business side of writing. I managed inventory, reduced costs and coordinated production (the math-based stuff). I implemented strategies that saved her tens of thousands of dollars during her self-publishing journey. Vanessa now writes for several traditional publishers.
My philosophy is best referenced by a quote from Lao Tzu: “Give a man a fish, feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, feed him for a lifetime.”
Because I love to use my words to empower others, I launched Pen Of the WritER (POWER). My objective: To help 10,000 writers become published authors. Mentoring, conferences and publishing and a myriad of other services are provided under the POWER umbrella.
Whether misinformed, inexperienced or unknowledgeable, I have mentored hundreds of clients who spent way too much money producing inferior-quality books before they turned to me for guidance.
